Money Conscious Shoppers Grab Deal a Day Offers

Is anyone had try mortgage accelerator?
The one that you link to a line of credit or HELOC? On some web site they claim that you can pay off your loan in 8 yers instead of 30 years by opening a Money Merge Account. The trick is that you have to buy their $3500 software. Is anyone where i can try that software for free before to buy it?

Finding a HELOC that acts like a checking account?
I am looking for a HELOC to use instead of my checking account. I'm not looking for input on whether this is a good idea, but where to find a HELOC that will meet my specifications in that it acts like a checking account. They are: - Low fees and APR. - All standard checking access points, such as checks, ATMs, electronic bill pay, etc... - No minimum withdrawal - I can pay a $3.72 bill with it. - Interest computed on average daily balance, or daily. - Can deposit funds electronically using routing/account number. - Accepts direct deposit. - Notifies you if balance is negative (you paid more than you owe). I am basically looking to use this HELOC as my primary account instead of a checking account, so I want as many of these features as I can find. I'm basically looking to manually build something similar to a mortgage accelerator/money merge product, but without the high fees and interest. -->Adam

Has anyone tried a HELOC mortgage accelerator? What is a good bank/CU in CA to use?
Saw a few minutes of an info-mercial this morning on this topic. Looks reasonable as a concept, but searching internet today shows fees for these "programs" vary from $498 to $3500, plus are generally ads for their mortgage broker. Anyone done this on their on with a bank or credit union and could make recommendations? Sorry with the confusing abbreviations-I mean in California, not Canada. Also, not simply paying ahead or an extra payment, already do that. Looking specifically for information on a partial or complete re-fi using a HELOC, then depositing pay check into that account and drawing living expenses out each month. Thanks-
